- In your device's network list, select either the MCC-Student or MCC-Employee network.
- Log in with your MCC username & current password (it is recommended to add @students.mchenry.edu or @mchenry.edu)
- Once connected, your device will automatically re-connect when entering campus, until your password expires.
Remember to update your Wi-Fi password on all of your devices after you reset your MCC password, or your account will lock. Forget the network on your device, then re-select it and update your password.
Occasionally the wi-fi network will request to trust a new certificate. Tap "Trust" in upper right corner.
Below are steps for various devices:
Android - since makes/models vary, the steps to connect will also vary
- From the app drawer tap the Settings app
- Tap Wi-Fi
- Tap the MCC-Student or MCC-Employee network
- In the EAP method drop down, select PEAP
- In the CA certificate field select Use system Certificates. If not available, select Don’t Validate.
- If there is a Domain field, type mchenry.edu
- In the Identity field type your MCC username
- In the Password field type your MCC password, then tap Connect
Chromebook
- Click on the status area on the lower right-hand side of the desktop
- Click No Network.
- Click the MCC-Student or MCC-Employee network.
- In the EAP Method drop down, select PEAP.
- In the Server CA certificate drop down, select Do not Check.
- In the Identity field type your MCC username.
- In the Password field type your MCC password.
- Make sure the Save identity and password box is checked.
- Click Connect.
iOS
- On the home screen tap the Settings app.
- Tap Wi-Fi.
- Tap the MCC-Student or MCC-Employee network.
- Enter your MCC username and password and tap Join.
- On the Certificate screen tap Trust.
Mac OS
- Click the wireless network status indicator in the Finder bar and select the MCC-Student or MCC-Employee network.
- Enter your MCC username and password.
- On the Verify Certificate page select Continue.
- You will receive a dialog box that asks for a username and password to change your Certificate Trust settings. Type in the username and password you use to access your computer. If you don’t use a password to access your computer leave the password field blank and click Update Settings
Windows 10
- Click the wireless network icon on the right-hand side of your taskbar.
- Click the MCC-Student or MCC-Employee network. Ensure the Connect automatically box is checked and click Connect.
- Enter your MCC username and password and click OK.
- On the Continue connecting prompt click Connect.
